Compatibility Settings in WPtouch Pro 4
Shortcodes
The "Process theme shortcodes" option processes your content for desktop shortcodes before display to visitors. WPtouch Pro will not load JavaScript or CSS from your desktop theme. You will need to load those using the Analytics > Custom field.
Filter out shortcodes - allows you to deactivate any of your desktop theme's shortcodes in your mobile theme or from a shortcodes plugin. Enter the name of a shortcode and click the "+" sign. Do not add other punctuation. Your desktop theme will remain unaffected and the remaining shortcodes will remain functioning in your mobile theme.
Caching
Stop sending "no cache" request headers for mobile site. - By default WPtouch requests that mobile pages are not cached. This helps prevent the mobile site from being served to desktop users and the desktop site from being served to mobile users.
Active Plugins
WPtouch Pro has a one-of-a-kind feature: the ability to disable plugins in your mobile theme while leaving your desktop theme's plugin functionality unchanged. WPtouch Pro automatically detects and displays the active plugins in your WordPress installation. By default all WordPress plugins are activated in your mobile theme. You may choose to disable plugins that detract from an optimal mobile experience or that are incompatible with WPtouch Pro.
We offer a non-exhaustive list of known incompatibilities you may use for reference.
The WordPress Plugins tool allows you to attempt one-click deactivation of your plugins in your mobile theme. Because every plugin is structured differently, some require their functions to be individually deactivated within WPtouch Pro. For more information, see Deactivating Plugins in Your Mobile Theme
Custom Post Support
This option will appear if your WordPress installation has available custom post types to enable in WPtouch Pro. When enabled, the custom post types will be displayed in the main blog post listings.
