Adding tap-to-call links

In some smartphones, it is possible to open the phone's dialing application from a link on a webpage.

Tap to call text

Tap-to-call functionality will not work on all mobile devices. Success in adding tap-to-call functionality depends on each device and operating system.

Tap-to-Call as a Text Link

Insert the following where you'd like your tap-to-call link to appear:

You can then style the "call" CSS selector by adding custom CSS to your mobile theme

Tap-to-Call in a custom WordPress menu

To add a tap to call in a custom WordPress menu, open the menu settings and expand the "Custom Links" dropdown. In the URL field, enter tel:555-555-5555 and add the text of your choice for the Link Text field. The Link Text is the text your mobile visitors will see in the WPtouch Pro menu.

The custom menu can be assigned to WPtouch Pro in the menu options or in Appearance > Customize > Menus > Manage Locations.
